It's urban legend in these parts. This old kook claims aliens came down and abducted his Riviera. The story's been told over and over, each time a little better, I'm sure. I always figured he made it all up to tell his wife. The truth was probably a whole lot better. Must have been some night out! As I approached the railroad crossing, sort of the 'x' that marks the spot, the crossing lights went on. Now in all the years I've driven my Caddy up and down this road, I've never seen a train pass through. I guess it was late, and folks said that freight trains passed by at night, always en route to someplace else. I couldn't see the train coming, but it sure was making a lot of noise. Suddenly, I was engulfed in bright light. Everything around me shook. The hairs on my arm stood straight up. I looked up. Oh, no! Not my Caddy!
What am I gonna tell my wife?
